Heard It Here is a regular news report about the downtown community in Winston-Salem. It is produced by students in Phoebe Zerwick’s community journalism class at Wake Forest University. Zerwick spent more than 20 years at the Winston-Salem Journal as a reporter, columnist and editor before joining the faculty at Wake Forest. Students in the class will spend the fall semester reporting on the people and places that make downtown a community.
